Between Two Islands - between Caldey and St.Margaret's islands, off the Pembrokeshire coast, west of Tenby. Late afternoon, light, sparkles, wet sand, the softest of breezes. Everything is calm, but the light is bouncing, skipping, dazzling off every surface, a bendiction. The rocks are subtle blues, purples. This big painting was roughly paint-sketched in situ, then finished in the studio, one layer at a time. Creams on pinks on yellows on soft blues, some peach in the sky and it's reflection.
