Artist's description:

acrylic (inc. metallic acrylic), resin and stones on board

Rigid gold (metallic) and white stripes are painted over a surface fragmented with stones and resin.

For me, this tension between the rigidly ordered and the chaotic and broken concerns the common state of many made things: that of some endeavour to create perfection in the face of inevitable entropy.

Interestingly, I have to choose between organic and geometric abstraction on this site, when most of my work includes and is concerned with the tension between both.

Materials used:

acrylic, resin, stones, MDF, timber substrate
