This is the first painting of bees and flowers this year. It is now the last of the series I call the "Flowers & Bees of Rancho Cabeza". I live in a senior park consisting mainly of two oblong circles and no outside traffic. I found a treasure throve of flowers during my required walks and decided to paint bees on as many different flower as I could find. This painting is based on a photo I took in Guerneville while I was working as a street artist. I chose this as the first composition because it gets right down to business. I caught the bee actually eating, see Working Bee Spirit 7 in my shop. The British Bee Count project inspired me to paint this painting which has been on my to do list for almost a year.
All of my work comes offered framed with hand made 1 X 2" redwood shadow frame upon request. There are two reasons I frame my work; One: Your painting is ready to hang and enjoy upon arrival; Two: It acts as protection during shipping.
