This project was in my mind for the past 3.5 years, the day since I came to know about the textile waste we are generating in our World.

Everyone love to wear dresses and that too - brand new one at times; but do you all know we generate non-biodegradable waste to our Planet Earth !
The idea of incorporating the salvages of the labels in my painting to create awareness among the public about textile waste was one of the main motivation for this project. (These salvages are the waste from the Label machine when creating the labels -they are usually used on the back side of the dress collar)

The grass like projections are made using those salvage wastes which is made of polyester, and it takes 20-200 years to decompose. Landscapes are my thing, but to incorporate these non-recyclable things in my project has my complete heart.

Some parts of the label are left with its natural colors, while others are painted over with acrylics.
