Original artwork description:
At the end of 2019 I went through a period of experimentation trying out different ways of painting skies and clouds and other subjects often in monochrome or in desaturated colour. On this one I was trying applying a monochrome glaze of a desaturated blue over a pale lemon base mainly with a rag. I developed this further and then applied what I had learnt to my series of American landscapes called "The Big Sky".
