Artist's description:

This painting follows on from the first painting I did of a bar in Bruges.
The bar is opposite the Rozenhoedkaai (Rosary Quay). My wife and I have visited the bar many times on our short breaks to Bruges. Sadly the bar closed a few years back, but is now back in business, but missing Axel the bar man and a change to the interior.
This painting made use a few more watercolour techniques and was pleased with the wet on wet washes on the tree trunk. The roof tiles was achieved with the help of a credit card cut to the size of the tiles and applied whilst the wash was still wet. The whole painting made use of a lot of masking fluid to mask the outside wall lights, window frames and the writing on the windows, in all a lot of preparation and enjoyment to paint. Hope you enjoy painting and may see you in the bar some time. The painting will fit an 8 inch x 12 inch inside mount.
