Just up the road is a lane I use every day. It changes every day. It glistens, or it is moody, or it is lined with wild flowers. This time it was early afternoon, sunny and early May. Red and pink campions, bluebells everywhere, dust and ferns and that "full spring" feeling.
This painting was built up using lots of layers of oil paints in quite a traditional "light to dark" technique, to capture the shimmery, atmospheric moment in west Wales.
