The latest in my pop art food series is an irresistible painting of a freshly sliced avocado, depicted just before you take the stone out of the middle. It feels like avocados have massively grown in popularity here in the UK, particularly over the last few years, and their naturally bright green and yellow colouring makes them a perfect subject for me.
As is my style the food is shown suspended against a sky blue background and painted in bright colours with black outlines around them, creating a bright graphic 'pop' style image.
PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a black A4 frame for display purposes. So the third image better shows what you'd be getting.
It is painted in acrylics and Posca paint pens on thick A4 acrylic paper and signed on the back for authentication
