Artist's description:

I used the traditional Japanese Fish Printing method of indirect printing called "gyotaku" with archival etching ink on black cotton. The cotton is laid over the crab and the ink is applied in layers on top of the cotton using a tampo (silk covered cotton) to produce the image underneath. The shell, each leg, and claw are attached and printed separately with at least 8 colors. The Japanese kanji symbols: sei sei ru tan mean that "All life is connected". My signature kanji means "Nature's Teacher". Spending my life in nature, on the beaches, and under the oceans, I have been taught so much. Hopefully, you will enjoy this beautiful example of that nature.
