Artist's description:

two weeks of solid work to make the coils for this piece, translated to about 80 hours of work... cutting, twirling, twisting, rolling, gluing and then once I have enough coils I start the basket or vessel sculpture.. I started with two large coils at the base and was planning on creating a bulbous piece, full and voluptuous; embodying earthy and wholesome. I stopped at mid point thinking I am done, but the more I sat with it the more she kept nudging at me to continue; the essence had not been captured yet. So I continued cutting, twirling, twisting, rolling, gluing and started adding to her, I had to wait and sit with her a while at each step to see if she was ready till she finally nudge me and told me she was...
