I am interested in the issues with identity especially regarding people who are minorities in the American society. The young girl in a painting is being exposed to her customers and their view of her and be very different than how she feels about her and her perspective. I used myself as a model and it was a very fascinating experience for me to put myself in an opposite position (rather than being a customer).
