Artist's description:

My work over the past twenty years has been devoted to the landscape of both my adopted home the South West and of my childhood home in Norfolk. I have carried those impressions left on me as a child of the flat landscapes of the fens with their big skies and never ending horizons into the work itself.

My influences are many and varied and include the tonal ink paintings of Hasagawa Tohaku, the calligraphic oil paintings of Cy Twombly and the pastoral landscapes of Constable, Claude and Cottman.

Materials used:

Oil, charcoal and pencil.
