Artist's description:

I take my art very seriously, but sometimes it can be fun and less serious. One night I am sitting with a friend who is a copywriter. He starts making up titles for paintings. Astoria was one that stuck. Taking clues from classic decoration and turning that into my own. Fun to do and it came out a lot more serious than I envisioned.

Encaustic, so beeswax with pigments on panel and lacquered walnut shells.
The shine of the wax will fade a little over time. A soft polish with a soft cloth will bring that back.

Ready to hang with a steel wire.

Materials used:

beeswax, pigments, walnut shells
