Assisi is the Umbrian town of Saint Francis of Assisi. There is a beautiful colonnade in front of the basilica.
I visited this town in 2018 and it was a beautifully cloudy day which complimented the architecture.
When I draw an architectural landscape I prefer to include a figure or face in order to make the composition look more dramatic. Here I have included my muse, Caridad Barragan (who is also present on Artfinder).
This painting was painted in tempera paints which I prepare from mineral pigments in the studio along with colored pencil on Canson black paper.
This painting will be shipped flat so as to protect the paper surface.
Signature is on both the front and back.
Please contact me with your questions, thank you.
