Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

An exploration of the ascent of our favourite summer bird- the swallow.
Masters of the sky with incredible agility and speed the skim, dart and dive over the fields and hedgerows harvesting insects and bugs to grow their young and fatten themselves for their epic migration to Africa in the autumn.
Poetry in purest motion.

For me, the importance of this work is not in the portrait for the birds but expression of movement. My muted palette has enhanced that with soft grey with flashes of violet and a hint of pink on their throats...and the wonderful turquoise blue describing the vorteces of their movement.

Offered unframed and unmounted this work will be shipped rolled in a robust cardboard tube for you to display in your style.

Swallows Ascending
Fly away swallows,
Fly away home,
Ascend the heights,
Ere to roam.

Swoop on wing and,
Soar on high,
Fly away swallows,
Summer's end is nigh.
