As Far as The Eye can see - the rolling fields of Wicklow Ireland is a painting of the view from my garden, I am so lucky to have the rolling fields of the near by Croghan Mountain and the distant Wicklow mountains in the background on one side on the headland I live on..
The colour of the fields at this time of year is glorious with an array of rich colours ranging from almost a biscuit cream tone to vibrant golds, sitting beside emerald greens and dark hedgerows all topped off with a sky filled of blues..
I used a mix of Palette knifes and brushes to make a mix of marks and textures
This painting is oil on canvas and is strung on the back, the sides are painted white and clean and so this painting is ready to hang as is..
This work will make a fantastic feature painting, like adding an extra window with a view to any room!
