Artist's description:

This is the first painting of the serie "Relatives", which is supposed to investigate on the perception of family relationships and the sentimental involving in them. I realized this painting from an authentic picture of early XX century, representing an unknown man. Even if this person was not a relative of mine, I felt the love that could have surrounded that picture of young man, exposed maybe on his parents' bedroom and kissed and caressed while he was far away from home attending to his military duties. I first realized the drawing with pencil, with chiaroscuro technique, than I colored it with watercolours, like photographer once colored black and white photos by hand.

The painting is applied on a vintage '30s Italian silver plated standalone framework.

PLEASE NOTE: the painting is glued directly on the framework, so don't try to remove it or you'll tear it up. The vintage framework is supposed to be an essential part of the artwork. The framework has almost 80 years, so some little signs of use are present, but it is in excellent vintage conditions. Using a vintage item was necessary to enhance the effect of an ancestor's picture.

My artworks are carefully packed and shipped worldwide via Poste Italiane.
