Original artwork description:

This drawing explores layered images of items from a walk around an archaeological museum in the city of Nicosia, Cyprus. Each item was drawn on top of one another, colouring in the shadows from each piece, building into a poetry of colour - seeking a compositional poeticism of rhythm between each object and the shadows they casted or were cast upon.

Each colour chosen corresponded to the item the shadow was taken from and worked with seeking a balance; exploring colour relationships between one another and bring about harmony.

Materials used:

Colour Pencil on Cartridge Paper
