Original artwork description:

This painting is a portrait of the ex-Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, when he was still in power.

The painting was a response to the on-going conflicts in the world and the stance of the Anglican Church as a mediator. He looks to the right due to the right being the traditional placement of the Christos.

I have always played with religion through my years as an artist, continuing my fascination with religion and what it is all about.

Materials used:

Oil on canvas
