Anniversary art print - star gazing landscape art - astronomy art gift
This is an original, one of a kind linocut monoprint of a couple stargazing. Written in the sky is the quote 'love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies,' by Aristotle.
I have hand carved this work using multiple linocut blocks. I have inked up the sky in blue, green and orange using a 'rainbow' roll effect. This is where multiple colours are rolled together onto the plate to create a more painterly image. As a result, although I have printed 20 of this image, each one has a unique sky. The people are also hand coloured with watercolour, so each image is ever so slightly different due to this too.
It is printed using oil-based inks in graphite black, orange, hand-mixed dark blue, blue-green and grey-blue.
Printed on soft white Zerkall paper 145gsm with deckled edges Edition size: This is a unique monoprint, although there are 19 similar images of this design.

The print comes unmounted and unframed for ease of postage, but I will be happy to provide advice on framing. All prints are shipped in protective film in sturdy cardboard packaging.
