Artist's description:

#5 of 52 Weeks of Prints. I was in Edwards Greenhouse a couple of weeks ago and saw this crazy angel trumpet tree with these loopy big yellow trumpet flowers. It must be a tropical plant/bush/tree of some kind; it certainly isn't native to this area. And yes, it's wacky wild! The flowers are big but they aren't brightly colored; they're a soft yellow, and they seem to just float around the tree!

I made my image by drawing a couple of the blooms onto linoleum, cut the image out, ink it up with oil-based linoleum, and print it with Strathmore paper. Then, I colored it in with a soft yellow watercolor paint! I hope you enjoy it!

Materials used:

linoleum, oi-based ink Strathmore paper watercolor
