Original artwork description:

This piece was painted along with a student of mine. Each year we create a painting that is used in a Creative Writing class. Students are not told what the painting's title or what the piece means. Their assignment is to write a short story about what they think the painting is about. My student and I choose the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place stories that best describe what our intention was. This painting is about all the trouble in the world as we get closer to the the end of times. God (whoever you think he/she is) weeps over how we have treated our planet and each other.
