At the Accademia di Belle Arti I followed a course in Anatomy for Artists and this study was done at the Museo Della Specola, a 17th-century Museum of anatomical waxworks created as an aid to doctors. It is a fascinating place, full of startlingly lifelike wax models, many made from life casts, and arranged with a taste for Baroque macabre theatre.
