I have used muted colors in this painting to deepen the mystery of the ancient Amer Fort in Jaipur, Rajasthan. What could have happened here? How many soldiers must have stood in that watch tower to keep a sharp eye on the enemies? When the enemies did strike, what could this stone structure have silently witnessed? Mass destruction? Killing that says all is fair in love and war? The untold stories remain embedded in the stones never to be told to anyone? If the walls were to speak could we bear what we would have heard? So many unanswered questions.
This painting is part of the "Liquitex Muted colors art Competition Collection" on Artfinder.
Amer Fort Jaipur India is a place no one should miss visiting. It is located in Amer, a town with an area of 4 square kms located 11 kms from Jaipur, Rajasthan state, India. Located high on a hill, it is the principal tourist attraction in the Jaipur area. This magnificent fort is largely made up of a royal palace, built from pale yellow and pink sandstone and white marble, and divided into four main sections, each with its own courtyard. You can trudge up to the fort from the road in about 10 minutes, but riding up on elephant back is very popular.
