Artist's description:

-the state of having mixed feelings or contradictory ideas about something or someone.

With the progress of my personal career, I sometimes find myself in this position. Often questioning if I am on the right path, or if my stubborn focused ways have caused me to go off track. But the more I express these uncertainties, the more confirmation I gain that I, that we, are not alone in this struggle. We are on this journey for a unknown reason. While at times it may seem we have made a "bad" descion, we must realize that every descion is made for a reason due to our state of mind at the time. There is no bad descions. There are only opportunities.

This painting represents my struggle with science. While he is a dark being which has the capability to beat you to your knees, there is an inherent beauty if we look deep enough. There is a shining skeleton on which the foundation is built. This shinning skeleton is my definition of foundational beauty. Something simple to its core, and utterly beautiful in its clarity.

The thought of Overcoming doubt and searching for the reason which you fell in love with something or someone is my personal definition of this piece.

It s painted with multiple layers of oil paint along side gold, bronze, rose gold, antique gold pigments.

Materials used:

Grumbacher oil paint, irredecent pigments
