A semi abstract impressionist Scottish landscape painting inspired by the desolate and wild moorland and mountain landscape around Forsinard part of the Flow country in the remote north highlands of Scotland.
Painted in muted red ochre browns, blue and grey with a dramatic atmospheric cloudy sky. In this painting I have tried to portray the vast flat moorlands with the distant hills in a touch of blue and a river in the foreground.
Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists acrylics on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white hand painted wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
