Original artwork description:
This painting is a playful representation of beautiful fruit doves. I painted them using a limited colour palette of rose pink, violet, Viridian green and cadmium orange. This painting is a complete original oil on canvas. It took many weeks to complete as I build up the layers. I used images of the many different types of fruit doves to create the composition and then I gave myself the freedom to create my own colours for each bird. I loved this process of designing my own species. I intend to do many more paintings on this theme. Inspired by the animal kingdoms vast variety of designs in nature. This canvas is deep edged and painted black (ready to hang).
