Painted on-site at the Iris Garden of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Painted in oil and iridescent oil on gessoboard, with a layered, textured background of oil over casein paint. Features two iris flower heads of the variety named "Alice Bakke". The flowers are painted in shades of deep wine red and magenta, with golden yellow "beards" and yellow stripes near the centers. They have green and deep purple flowers buds, and a red, purple and green background.
Comes framed in a 3" wide wood frame with a black finish and gold inner edge. May also be purchased unframed.
