Artist's description:

I spotted this odd pale object partially buried while walking in Epping Forest. A little excavation revealed this animal skull that has since been identified as that of a fox. (Hence the title) We were visiting my daughter at the time and I took it back to her kitchen and washed away the remaining soil. A little later my daughter appeared and reacted with horror as I showed off my prize. Cries of "Ugh, dad get that dirty thing out of the kitchen". " It's perfectly clean" I protested, turning it in my hands to demonstrate. "I've given it a good wash". At which point a stream of wriggling insects poured onto the kitchen floor! More screams!! Nonetheless I still think of it as a beautiful object from which I have made several drawings and paintings. What do you think?
