Artist's description:

A walk in the Lee Valley with my brother inspired a pair of pictures, this being the first. The afternoon light was soft and a little hazy after all the rain. The day felt as if it was holding its breath, waiting and hoping. A vague promise was in the air.
Using raw silk, metallic organza, pulled out lace and then embroidered with freehand machine embroidery a delicate and serene scene is created.
They are framed with a plain wooden frame and a thin light green silk mount. The glass is Art Glass with full UV protection and virtually no reflection so the three dimensional nature of the work is evident and there is no danger of fading.
Now signed in the corner, though this isn't shown in the photo.
