Artist's description:

Early morning, and golden sunlight bursts through the breaking clouds over The Lizard in Cornwall. The storm is passing and the sea's tempest diminishes. A new day is breaking and it will be a good one.

In this image I tried to capture the beauty, vibrancy and positivity in the scene playing out in front of me. I had to heavily filter the sky to hold the sunburst, yet I like the sense of dark overtones being swept away by the dawn's light. A reassuring, affirming picture.

As with all my pictures, this image was captured 'in camera', with only minimal refinement in post processing. The colours are faithful to those I witnessed. I hand print my artworks (that are limited to a run of 50) on Hahnemuehle Photo Rag Baryta, one of the finest fine art papers money can buy, using Canon Pixma inks that give bright, faithful colours that will last a lifetime.

Framed in black wood surround with an 'ivory' coloured mount (10cm deep on all sides), the artwork is finished with acrylic gallery 'glass' that sets off the presentation while providing protection from dust and UV light.

Please Note: The main viewing image is watermarked to deter theft. The actual artwork does not bear this tag.
