Ink painting from African Girls serie. In traditional Japanese sumi-e ink wash painting technique with Chinese inks on archival paper. Inspired by travels to Africa. In expressionism style. Ink paintings by Alex Solodov are mostly the portraits. They are based on photo images but in process of painting they are transformed into surreal images of “invaders” which can exist only between dream and reality.
