Aetna (Etna) is a goddess of Greek mythology.

He was considered the daughter of Uranus and Gaea. The dragon Typhon, supposedly, lived in the homonymous volcano bowels and was causing the destructive eruptions

Sicily, land of volcanoes and wheat, was the cause of dispute between Hephaestus and Demeter, fire respectively and crops. Etna acted as referee.
