I already had an idea in mind to combine both my love for portraiture and modern art.
With my style in portraiture being way more conservative, I really wanted to bring a modern flair to it.
The reason I chose a crow with the specific coloured background really came down to timings with an exhibition that was pending at the Adelaide Oval. Some of you familiar with Australia will know how popular Aussie Rules Football is with the Adelaide Crows being one of the major footy clubs over here, with their home ground being the Adelaide Oval.
I was inspired to create a painting that had both a crow and the clubs colours emblazoned over it.
As with all my paintings, I give the back of the canvas a little bit of love too. Applying a backing sheet which is date stamped and ready to hang with hooks and wire, creates an overall professional finish.
If preferred, I will be happy to remove the canvas from the stretcher bars to reduce postage costs.
