In a bit of a switch from my usual pop style I've transferred my love of bright colours to a more minimal, abstract art style inspired by Piet Mondrian and Bridget Riley.
I create and sell tote bags with striped geometric designs. They tend to sell well elsewhere so I thought I'd tray taking the same approach to a canvas.
I used thin masking tape and some liberally applied acrylic paint to create a precise criss-cross of stripes and chose three different colours that I find particularly cheerful and relaxing.
The painting is small but impactful in a minimal way, and could brighten up any corner of your home.
As with most of my pantings the design goes around the edge of the stretched cotton block canvas, making it ready to hang.
