Original artwork description:

This is an extra large abstract oil painting on a heavy-duty gallery-wrapped canvas, painted with fluid oil and palette knives. Most of my artworks are spontaneous acts of creativity inspired by nature. This artwork was created during a hot summer in Florida where the temperature was above 90 degrees Fahrenheit. It was a very hot, humid day and I decided to paint outside. I like painting here in the Florida sun as it gives me a lot of energy, even when the weather is extremely hot. Maybe that is why I use mostly bold and bright colors. The colors of nature and the weather that surround me dictate the color palette for my paintings. It is a huge inspiration for me and I just paint how I feel it. I never approach painting with a starting point. As I continue to work on the artwork and go deeper and deeper, the painting evolves and the idea gets clearer. I get so consumed in the painting process that I lose myself and forget about the realities of this world. I don't know where the end is and I never plan when to stop. Finally, I get the feeling of satisfaction, I stare at the painting and my mind connects with the painting and the story behind it. This is the process I go through when I paint. Sometimes it is very mind-exhausting because I lose myself in it. It feels like hypnosis that my mind goes into and I don't have control over it.
The inspiration for this artwork came from beautiful Hawaii where red lava meets the ocean creating new land, new life, and new beginning.

The artwork has a metal wire on the back for easy hanging and is signed and dated on the back. Two layers of varnish have been used to protect the painting.

This artwork does not require framing. The sides are wide and painted to match the painting.

Materials used:

Oil, Palette Knives, Varnish, Gallery Wrapped Canvas
