By inverting different part of the image using basic shape, text or complex shape which is also inverted inside the main image I can achieve endless possibilities of imaginable patterns and shapes.
The concept I use is minimalistic mostly silhouette images dark solid colour on bright background or opposite creating interconnected, and interdependent contrary similar to Yin Yang dualities. The idea of simplicity appears in many cultures, especially the Japanese traditional culture of Zen Philosophy. Aesthetic and design are great elements of my creation.
I was influenced by Nōtan which is a Japanese design concept involving the play and placement of light and dark elements as they are placed next to the other in the composition of art and imagery.
I see myself mostly in a Pop Art movement focusing on images from popular culture, advertising, news but I also including spiritual and ritual symbols as Mandala, I Ching, Yin Yang in my works.
