Abby & Emma left home early in the morning, while the dew was still wet on the grass and the cows were still mooing in the barns, across the field from the sisters home. With a couple of sandwiches and a bottle of orange crush to share, the girls were skipping with anticipation down the dirt road into town, that cloudless morning.
"It's gonna be a hot day today, huh Emma?"
"Sure looks like it to me, the dust is already getting stuck to my goggles." Emma replied, giggling.
The girls were headed to the Multiverse Fair. Billed as the "Greatest Show In Any Universe" it only came to their part of the multiverse every 86 years. The whole fair always arrived with a bang on the back of wild comets they would lasso out in the void. The girls had hardly been able to sleep for days knowing they would get to go see all the sights.
Abby insisted that they put on their their very best angel feather dresses, Emma gave in and agreed but only after Abby agreed to also include cowboy boots and hats.
They were well prepared for a day riding all the rides, eating all the food and playing all the games. They saved the best ride of them all until last.
The suns were setting on the horizon, turning everything a vivid shade of tangerine/crimson with moody purple shadows, they climbed aboard the time warp machine.
The ride of a lifetime! the bright-lights proclaimed, Abby felt a little scared and rubbed her soft bunny ear with little fingers.
"Are you scared Emma?" she asked looking up at her big sister.
Emma smiled, "I'm excited to be scared Abby!" she beamed at her little sister, while grabbing her hand.
"Why are you excited to be scared, Emma?!"
"Because baby-sister, that means we finally get to be Brave!
And I know you can't be Brave unless you are Scared, First!"
The girls have their own movie it's in my me at work profile or you can use this link too: https://youtu.be/4NNxCEEmZ70
