Artist's description:

There are some classic paintings I adore. This is A young girl defending herself against eros, made by William Adolphe Bourguereau in 1879. Or better, it is my interpretation of this work in a limited linoprint. I made it in 3 layers from the same block, so the Edition of 10 cannot be reprinted in this form.
Of course, as completely printed manually without a press on Mayspies Bütten paper and the colours being remixed for each print every print differs a bit. The colour is also slightly changing in the light as I mixed some metallic gold colour in the first (brownish) layer.
I think though taking a completely different technique the feeling the picture transports is quite similar...
