Artist's description:

When I started out, many years ago, I learnt to draw very precisely, but these days I like my pictures to have a rather casual air. Pictures like this one - A SUITABLE CASE FOR TREATMENT - begin life as large charcoal or pen drawings to which I add a little colour before photographing them. I then scrap the originals so that I won’t be tempted to go back to them and refine them or tidy them up. The next step is to feed the photograph into the computer and enhance the colour digitally, and sometimes add something extra. The end result is then prepared for printing. Each image is limited to just five signed prints.

I'm currently printing on cotton-effect polyester rather than paper. (If a buyer would prefer paper, please let me know.) This strong yet light 100% polyester is matte but not dull, and less likely to show marks or to crease than paper is. It has a pleasing, delicate texture and is ideal for either stretching onto a wooden mount, or for framing under glass.

Materials used:

Charcoal, Ink, Pastel
