A New Hope, yesterday is past, today can be amazing.
I walk through the woods. Dawn breaks and light shines through the trees creating rainbow shards. I shield my eyes and colour swims before my vision. The sun breathes warmth onto my face and I turn my head to look through the trees. In this dawn I feel A New Hope.
Created using thick strokes of oil paint, A New Hope uses dripped and thrown paint to define shape and line and is then filled with directional strokes of oil colour. The painting is large at 150 x 100 cm and is striking in its use of vibrant colour.
