Original artwork description:

This painting was specially done for the Octopus Energy in collaboration with Artfinder to create awareness on Climate change.

This project was in my mind for the past 4.5 years, the day since I came to know about the textile waste we are generating in our World. I created one artwork last year using the same materials and today I got the urge to start a new one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone love to wear dresses and that too - brand new one at times; but do you all know we generate non-biodegradable waste to our Planet Earth !
The idea of incorporating the salvages of the labels in my painting to create awareness among the public about textile waste was one of the main motivation for this project. (These salvages are the waste from the Label machine when creating the labels -they are usually used on the back side of the dress collar).
We dress to be fashionable, but Our Mother Earth is not a dumpster.

The grass like projections are made using those salvage wastes which is made of polyester, and it takes 20-200 years to decompose. Landscapes are my thing, but to incorporate these non-recyclable things in my project has my complete heart. The red, orange and yellow colour represents the forest fire that are caused due to the Earth's temperature.

Some parts of the label are left with its natural colors, while others are painted over with acrylics.
