Artist's description:

The origin of the work is in a painting by Mark Rothko, specifically in the chromatic key that the artist uses. From it I built my own formal and chromatic universe. It is possible, then, to think of color as an aesthetic element, in the sense to which the term "aesthesis" refers, that is, the sensitive and spiritual possibilities of color, the mark of all modernism and synthesized in the fundamental "Of Spiritual in Art" of Wassily Kandinsky.

Materials used:

acrylic and crayon conté

A certain delicacy, after Rothko (2017)
