Original artwork description:

There is nothing like that Saturday bath with your favourite tipple and snack!

Geoffrey looks forward to his Saturday bath all week. It's what keeps him going. Geoffrey has spent quite a lot of money on his bathroom since this is one of his favourite rooms. He got some fine Italian tiles for the floor on his trip to Tuscany back in 2011 and he swapped some vintage bones for a rather nice piece of art - a textile collage of a ship (he is not so keen on the actual sea but he likes it in his art).
The old roll top bath is a proper enamel one. Geoffrey likes quality in his old age. It was different when he was young and had his mind on other things. The curtains are from John Lewis, a fine store with most of the things Geoffrey likes, including the towels. Last week he bought this wonderful 100% Egyptian cotton flowery towel in brown tones. To match his fur, you understand. Yes, a little bit of vanity has crept in over the years. So, bliss for Geoffrey is a hot bath, a drop of Chateau Neuf du Pape and a good ox bone...................enjoy Geoffrey (even though your fur smells when it's wet)!

The collage title and my signature are embroidered onto the front of the collage.
The collage is sold unframed. I have taken a photo of it in a frame to show how lovely it looks when framed.

Materials used:

heavy cotton, mixed textiles, embroidery
