Oil on wood panel - walnut panel - 3 coats gesso - oil paint - solid hardwood frame painted gold.
A first in a planned long series of 8 inch square paintings with solid frames. Very attractive, and geared towards the contemplative and eye-catching, for those niche areas that are hard to decorate.
Achieves a kind of antique feel I am going for in some newer and smaller works. This is 8X8 and with frame is 8.5x8.5, and is wood panel with oil. So very small, but subject matter is very straightforward and alone in the frame focusing on an appreciation of the wonder and beauty of children or the beauty of the human and nature. Themes I am bound to repeat quite a few more times.
Each one of my paintings is unique, however, and I will only make one of each, and I will not paint the same image again.
