Artist's description:

This painting is part of the serie "Searching for changes", as well as "Changes", "Avitaminosi", "Ex-ducere" and "Somaro chi legge". The serie focuses on the role of education in people's life, or better, aims to focus on the bad part of it (indoctrination instead of education). In this painting, the little pupil opens her school locker and finds some books and a backpack. If the artwork seems to depict an ordinary day at school, the sentence written on the painting shows us how the reality is quite different from what it seems: "Imparate a distinguere ciò che volete da ciò di cui avete bisogno. Quello che volete, dimenticatevelo. Quello di cui avete bisogno, ve lo forniremo quotidianamente nei vostri armadietti" (TRANSLATION: "Learn to distinguish between what you want and what you need. Forget what you want. We will daily supply what you need directly in your school locker"). The painting title is "405", which is the number of the girl's locker. The girl is reduced to a number, as well as her school mates. The artwork is framed with stapled wool. On its back, I have stapled a red tutu I used when I was 5 and I attended dancing lessons. Anyway, only the future owner of the artwork could see it!

All my artworks are shipped through the Italian postal service + insurance and using materials suitable for carrying and protect fine art objects.
