Artist's description:

This is still life of a retro camera with an architectural style frame of similar vintage. The camera is a worthy subject as it has a history. Professional potter Alex Theirry moved to the PNW from the mid states as a young man to teach Public High school ceramics. Having never experienced the ocean he took residence in a beach front house that in a mere two months was literally swept out to sea. Several months later students walking the beach found his camera and returned it to him. As a friend, I was able to paint, what I thought, was a unique(if not tragic) story of perseverance encapsulated in this one sea corroded and rock dented camera. This would make a nice vintage piece in any home.
