Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

I am interested in 'now' and wanted to know the time delay in the brain receiving images from the eye. Recent scientific studies have shown that it can be as quick as 13 milliseconds. I have represented it here by drawing 13 red biro pen dots to represent the time it takes and 987 black ink dots to demonstrate the remaining time in a millisecond.

I'd like this to be enjoyable to look at, but also to provoke thoughts on time and what it means to us humans.

Materials used:

biro - black and red
