Winter road (2025) Original Acrylic Painting by Stanislava Cherkasova

This painting is a study of winter's end. It moves beyond simply showing a landscape, instead evoking a deep, emotional response.

There's a palpable sadness in this scene, a reflection of the something sad and pitiful inherent in the melting snow, a metaphor for the fleeting nature of beauty and the unnoticed passage of time. Yet, the subtle variations in the gray tones, the flashes of pale light reflecting off the wet road, and the overall atmospheric quality of the painting speak to the quiet, understated beauty that can be found in the most transient and seemingly insignificant moments. It’s an attempt to capture a moment that resonates with the bittersweet beauty of life itself.
