Original artwork description
WE III
In “WE III”, colour is allowed to follow its own dynamics. Diluted oil colours are poured into water, creating fluid, unpredictable surfaces in which the pigments disperse, interact and reorganize. The paper is then passed through this layer of colour, capturing a unique and unrepeatable image of the moment.
The process itself becomes an essential part of the artwork. The artist intervenes through the selection of colours and gesture, while allowing water and gravity to participate in the creation of the image. The result exists between control and accident, between intention and chance.
“WE III” can be understood as a record of transformation — a trace of an encounter between matter, water, movement and time. Rather than representing something specific, the surface preserves the memory of a process, resembling an abstract map in a state of continuous becoming.
The artwork can be displayed suspended with a support or framed, depending on the desired relationship between the image, the surrounding space and the viewer.
